My name is Mike Taylor and I have been an Estate Agent for just over 21 years! I grew up in Cheshire, just south of Manchester in a small village called Bramhall which is not far from the more well known Alderley Edge which was made famous by David and Victoria Beckham when they moved there is 2001!
I started my Estate Agency career in 2003 at the age of 18 and I have since worked in some of the UK's most challenging residential housing markets, including Richmond in London and Weybridge in Surrey, where I have been involved in the sale of in excess of £150,000,000 worth of property. I moved to Worthing in 2018 to be closer to my wife's family who live in Brighton, Hove and Lancing and I have loved every second of being in this fantastic location.
Outside of work, I am a huge Manchester City fan, having grown up supporting them... not just since they became good in 2010! I also enjoy watching both club and international rugby and having lived nearby to Twickenham and The Stoop, I still follow Harlequins closely. I love working out and I am a member of a local gym, you will also find me attempting a 5km run along Worthing seafront on the weekends.
Having worked across a variety of markets throughout the UK and through a number of housing market crashes, crises and booms, including the financial crash of 2008, Brexit and the Covid19 pandemic, I feel I have a board view of how the market works and how our clients requirements vary at different times. I also feel I have a much deeper understanding of how the role of the Estate Agent works. We are not just order takers who wait for the phone to ring or a rightmove lead to appear, we are skilled professionals who are uniquely placed to match the right buyer, with the right seller, at the right time, to ensure we get the best possible price in a suitable timescale.
I think one of my strongest traits as an Estate Agent is my ability to deal with each and every person as an individual. Everyone is different, with different requirements, different problems and different goals, one size fits all does not work in this industry. I always make sure to listen to my clients, until I have a clear and complete understanding of their situation. I will them draw on my experience to create the perfect solution for them.
My goal at Aspire Residential is to provide the community with the best advice I can, to help them achieve their home buying or selling goals and to help as many people as possible get moving. I truly believe that by focusing on our clients and not on ourselves, Aspire Residential will become the go to Estate Agent in the area for many years to come.
